Man to Spend 24 Consecutive Hours in 24 Hour Fitness

PRLog - Jul. 14, 2010 - Houston, TX  -- On Friday, July 16, 2010, comedy writer Bayan Rabbani will spend 24 consecutive hours inside a 24 Hour Fitness club, interacting with employees and customers, taking a wide assortment of exercise classes, and grunting frequently as he lifts weights.  He will tweet and photograph this groundbreaking experiment on the popular comedy website ZUG.com.

When Bayan Rabbani recently spent 24 hours inside a Super Walmart, media outlets across the country picked up his funny commentary on the experience.  He followed it up with spending 24 hours inside a Starbucks, which became a viral Internet phenomenon.  Now he’s taking his brand of 24 hour comedy to the health club chain that prides itself on round-the-clock service.

“It’s right there in the name: 24 HOUR Fitness,” says Rabbani.  “It’s almost like a challenge.  A sweaty, stinky, endorphin-fueled challenge.”

As with his previous stunts, Rabbani will issue an ongoing stream of comments via Twitter, interacting with fans and even taking their suggestions on things to try next.  He plans to do a full Nautilus circuit while wearing a Snuggie® blanket, and see how long he can stay in a sauna without passing out.

Rabbani does not plan to sleep during the 24 hour exercise marathon, although he may fitfully doze off in a shower.
