Creative arts can help a person express their grief in ways they might not have known possible. Discover the artist within and explore the possibilities of creative journaling. Personality pages use a multimedia art process which encourages self-expression through the use of the 2D design media; painting, collage, and decorative paper. A personality page might include photographic images, meaningful thoughts, quotes, and artistic imagery which reflect the artist's personal vision. Each page is a unique reflection of the artist's creative decision making.
Participants in this program may choose to include their unique and individualized designs in an art group journal or keep their personality pages while continuing the journey of artistic discovery. The program is offered at no charge and it takes place at Lory’s Place, 445 Upton Dr., St. Joseph, MI. For children ages 5 – 18 the program is on Tuesdays from August 3 – August 24 from 10:00 – 11:30 am. For adults, the program is on Thursdays from August 5 – August 26 from 10:00 – 11:30 am.
