Trial Attorney Jason Guari Elected on Board of Trustees for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society – Palm Beach Area Chapter
West Palm Beach, FL – West Palm Beach Trial Attorney Jason Guari of the law firm of Murray & Guari elected on 2010 -2011 Board of Trustees for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s (LLS) – Palm Beach Area Chapter. July 1, 2010 marked the beginning g of the LLS fiscal year.
“LLS is an incredible organization that provides extraordinary support to patients and families who have been affected by leukemia,” says Guari. “I am humbled to be an active part this organization and its efforts to fund blood cancer research, education and bring awareness to this cause.”
LLS will be taking on a new approach to allocating dollars to research in Fiscal Year 2011 and beyond. With expert study, LLS will identify the unmet needs of current blood cancer research and proactively direct a portion of its funding to specific objectives. This will include currently underfunded areas such as early stage drug development, "orphan disease" research where the patient population is small and opportunities for non-government and non-industry entities work together to get more therapies to more patients faster.
