July, 2010 – Queens, New York - In conjunction with September’s National Peripheral Vascular Disease Awareness month, the Society of Interventional Radiology and in an effort to increase the public’s awareness of all types of vascular disease, Dr. Julius W. Garvey, founder and Medical Director of Garvey Vascular Specialists, will be conducting free ultrasound vein screenings on Saturday, September 25th at his office location in New Hyde Park. The screening program is designed to assess the risk for venous thromboembolism, detect signs of chronic venous insufficiency and testing for venous obstruction.
