Independent music label HH Music Group has been quietly building a Hip Hop Dynasty. After first signing obscure rap act the Ashy L Bowz and then releasing their debut album "No Lotion" which was nominated for 2008 Independent Rap Album of the year the fledgling label then went on to sign eight man Hip Hop posse Line for Line (LfL). HH Music Group then went on to release Ashy L Bowz sophomore album "No Lotion 2: The Great Repression" followed by Line for Line's self titled debut. Both albums Have been embraced by the ever fickle Hip Hop community. So well received have both acts been that Ashy L Bowz and Line for Line (LfL) have both been nominated for the prestigious 2010 Underground Music Awards, Ashy L Bowz for Best Rap Duo and Line for Line for Best Rap Group.
This is Line for Lines first nomination and the Ashy L Bowz fifth nomination, last year winning their first award for most Original Group or Duo. The yearly awards ceremony is the biggest accolade for unsigned and independent community whose past winners include, Pappoose, Maino, Serious Jones, Torae and many others that have been able to make the transition from Underground notoriety to mainstream success. Voting for the award began on July 8th and will continue until August 8th. The awards ceremony itself will take place August 22nd at the world famous BB Kings in New York City's Times Square.
