K&H Industries NightRay, the only 50-watt HID Vehicle Mounted Spotlight

K&H’s exclusive 50 watt HID lamp has testing to over 750,000 candle power output for it's new NightRay remote control spotlight.

July 12, 2010 - PRLog -- New to K&H Industries’ line of remote controlled spotlights, the Night Ray spotlight now comes with a 50-watt High Intensity Discharge (HID) lamp.  K&H’s NR-955-20 combines the advantages of HID lighting with the durability of the Night Ray’s design.  The Night Ray HID will provide nighttime Lineman and One Man Crews an extremely durably spotlight package with an intensely brighter and whiter light.

The HID Xenon that K&H’s Night Ray is outfitted with is based on metal halide arc-discharge technology and operates at less than half the power draw of a standard 100 watt lamp and the light intensity is five times brighter.  K&H’s exclusive 50 watt HID lamp has testing to over 750,000 candle power output.

“We are always looking for new products to create a safer work environment. With the HID lamp we are able to offer our customers more light output and a brighter light that more closely resembles daylight creating less eye fatigue. An additional feature is an HID lamp will last 3 to 5 times longer than a halogen bulb.” explains John Herc, vice president, K&H Industries, Inc.

“We conducted our own extensive field tests and had several of our customer’s test the Night Ray HID within their environments to ensure it would withstand the rigors of heavy duty nightly use.  Because of the positive response we decided to add this product to our line of remote controlled spotlights. We are delighted that the utility companies that were asked to test the unit have already specified it into their vehicles.” said Herc.
