NASHVILLE, Tenn_ Cross Country Education, LLC (CCE), in conjunction with Centerstone and United Way of Williamson County, are partnering to present 2 Free workshops for victims of the May flood in Middle Tennessee.
The first workshop is titled Resilience for the Community, Family and Yourself and will be held on July 20, 2010 at 7pm at the YMCA, 8101 Highway 100, Nashville, TN 37221. The speaker for the event will be Melissa Bradley, Expert in Traumatic Stress and speaker for Cross Country Education.
The second workshop is titled Healing from Disaster and will be held on July 22, 2010 at 7pm at Grassland Middle School 2390 Hillsboro Road Franklin, TN 37069. The speaker for the event will be Susan Gillpatrick, Crisis Management Specialist and Centerstone Crisis Management Specialist.
These events are free to the public and tailored to the specific needs of the Middle Tennessee community flood victims. The events were brought about in an effort to relieve and assist in an oft overlooked aspect of disaster recovery, coping. While many victims of the floods have had their physical needs tended to through unprecedented volunteer and community efforts, Cross Country Education, through their community outreach program called CCE Cares, felt its experience and resources in the fields of behavioral health would be well equipped to meet this need.
“CCE is honored to work with Centerstone and United Way and eager to bring some healing tools to flood victims of Middle Tennessee,” says Greg Greene, President of Cross Country Education.
More events are slotted to occur based on demand.
