Follow the Yellow Brick Road to see the Wizard of Oz

July 9, 2010 - PRLog -- The Woodlands, TX - Follow the yellow brick road into the Nancy Bock Center for Performing Arts to see Class Act Productions’ “The Wizard of Oz.” This classic children's novel written by L. Frank Baum, will come to life on July 16. Ticket prices are $22 and $17; a reasonable price for an evening of entertainment. Additional performances will be held on July 17, and July 23 thru 25. Curtain time is 7:30 p.m., with the exception of the Sunday performance on July 25, which will be held at 2:30 p.m. The doors will be open an hour prior to the performance. But don’t procrastinate. The choice seats are going fast.

Class Act Productions is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit performing arts group for students in The Woodlands and the surrounding area. Celebrating 13 years of community service in The Woodlands, the mission of Class Act Productions is to provide opportunities for youth through education, training, and by participating in professional quality musical theatre productions. It strives to provide an environment in which students can learn about teamwork and responsibility as well as the technical and artistic aspects of musical theatre. They feature two full-scale Broadway musicals a year, two Broadway Jr. summer workshops, and two semester sessions of theatre classes. Some of their past performances include Annie, Peter Pan, and West Side Story, just to name a few. Their Premiere Performing Ensembles, Act One and Overture, perform for private functions and public events in the community, and around the state and nation.
