July 9, 2010 - PRLog -- The Gallery at 764 West joins with the Schertz Area Artz Council to present the HeiB Art Fest (Hot Art Fest) on Saturday August 21, from 10am to 4pm. Over twenty area artists, all members of The Schertz Area Artz Council, will be represented in this first annual outdoor event held on the grounds of 764 West Frame Shop and Gallery, located at 764 W. San Antonio St., New Braunfels, TX. Artist booths at the HeiB Art Fest show and sale will display a diverse selection of mediums and styles including paintings, jewelry, sculpture, fiber, mixed media, pottery, glass, prints, computer art, photography, and more.

About Schertz Area Artz Council – or SAAC
Established in June of 2009 by the efforts of a local artist, Stella Marroquin, and with the encouragement and support of the Schertz Civic Center and the City of Schertz, SAAC dedicated itself to promoting the visual fine arts in the local community.

The Gallery at 764 West showcases original artwork in a wide assortment of media and styles including photography, oils, acrylics, watercolor, sculpture, pottery, digital arts, and mixed media. Artists from as far away as Denmark have shown at 764 West as well as talented up and coming local and regional artists. Known as the little gallery with exciting art, The Gallery at 764 West hosts a contemporary art show and sale twice a year in the spring and fall. In addition to The Gallery, 764 West also offers custom picture framing, artist supplies, frame and photo restoration, digital imaging and portrait commissions. Artists Scott Jarisch and Jean Longone opened 764 West L.L.C. in 1998 and have been active in seeking to expand the horizons of the New Braunfels community by bringing awareness to the arts and showcasing the many talented artists located in New Braunfels and elsewhere.

On Saturday, October 16, from 5 to 9 pm Linda Novell's solo exhibition will open with her award winning decorative, artistic and functional pottery. During the spring of 2011, oils and watercolors by contemporary realist, J. A. Baker, will be on display. In the fall of 2011, Patti Schermerahorn, a Fiesta Poster Artist, will exhibit her award winning acrylic and oils. A wide variety of artwork in all media and styles by artists Scott Jarisch and Jean Longone are on rotating exhibit at The Gallery the rest of the year.

In 1998, artists Scott Jarisch and Jean Longone opened 764 West as a small custom picture framing shop. Since then the company has continued to grow and evolve to better serve current and protential customers. Located in an historic 100 year old house, 764 West now carries fine art supplies and curates a contemporary art gallery.

764 West is located in New Braunfels, Texas at 764 W. San Antonio Street, between downtown and Walnut Ave, kitty cornered from the Children's Museum, directly across the street from St. Paul Lutheran Church, and right next door to Evan's Vacuums.

We are here from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM - Tuesday through Friday and by appointment on Saturday and Monday.
