Local Certified Legal Investigator Wins Prestigious Publication Award

At the annual conference of the National Association of Legal Investigators, held in Las Vegas in June, Mr. Beers was awarded 2nd Place for his peer-reviewed Certified Legal Investigator whitepaper, ‘Reviewing and Comprehending Autopsy Reports’, published in ‘The Legal Investigator’ in April 2010.  This has also been adapted for a chapter in his upcoming book, ‘Practical Methods for Legal Investigation:  Concepts and Protocols in Civil and Criminal Cases’.

The Editor-Publisher award is for “Creativity and Educational Contribution to the National Association of Legal Investigators” and is awarded to three persons at each annual conference for peer-reviewed articles published in the preceding twelve months.  A copy of this whitepaper is available by email.

Mr. Beers is dedicated to the professionalism of the private investigative industry.  He is one of 76 active Certified Legal Investigators worldwide, of four in Colorado and the only CLI in northern Colorado.  His training and experience in death investigation are essential to his work involving injury causation, personal injuries and death investigations in civil and criminal litigation.  In addition, he is the VP of Membership for the Professional Private Investigators Association of Colorado; Co-Chair of Membership / Investigations for the National Council of Investigation and Security Services, and will be a regular contributing columnist to ‘The Legal Investigator’ for the National Association of Legal Investigators - ‘Forensic Focus’.  He holds memberships in the World Association of Detectives, National Association of Medical Examiners, International Association for Identification, Mensa, and other professional organizations.
