Vedica Puri of Pillsbury & Levinson Elected to Bar Association of San Francisco Foundation Board

SAN FRANCISCO, July 6, 2010 – Pillsbury & Levinson LLP, a San Francisco law firm dedicated to representing policyholders in insurance coverage disputes and bad faith litigation, announces that Partner Vedica Puri was appointed to The Bar Association of San Francisco's (BASF) Foundation Board.

The BASF Foundation is the charitable arm of The Bar Association of San Francisco, providing a clear path to help fund public service, pro bono and community programs for people in need throughout the Bay Area.  Puri has been a long time supporter of BASF and its Foundation’s fundraising efforts, which support its Volunteer Legal Services, Bay Area Minority Law Student Scholarship and School-To-College programs.

In addition to the BASF Foundation Board, Puri is the current president of the venerable Telegraph Hill Dwellers, one of the longest standing preservation organizations in San Francisco.  She is a member of the Consumer Attorneys of California and San Francisco Trial Lawyers Association and served as an appointed member of the State Bar of California, Insurance Law Committee.  Puri, a native Californian, earned her J.D. from Santa Clara University School of Law and her B.A. from St. Xavier University in Bombay, India with a First Class distinction.
