1 In 4 People Ogle Someone Other Than Their Partner On Holiday

July 7, 2010 - PRLog -- The latest poll from www.sunshine.co.uk of 1,582 people in relationships has revealed that almost a quarter, 24%, of respondents admitted to ogling somebody other than their partner whilst they were on vacation together.

Of the respondents that admitted to eyeing up somebody other than their partner on holiday, almost half, 47% said they had been caught in the act by their other half.

When it came to paranoia in relationships on holiday, 68% of the women who took part in the poll said they often ‘worried’ about their partner looking at other women on vacation, compared to just 23% of men that said the same about their partner.

Only 6% of the total respondents said that they ‘wouldn’t mind’ their other half ogling somebody other than them on holiday.

Of the men asked, 13% said they would try to prevent their partner going on a “girls holiday”, compared to 47% of women that said they ‘didn’t like the idea’ of their other half going on a “lads holiday”.

The anonymous study also found that 7% of the total respondents had cheated on a partner, past or present, whilst on a trip abroad.

“Whilst going away with a partner can be an incredible experience, there’s always the danger that arguments will arise if someone in the relationship can’t keep their eyes off someone other than their partner!

“It was a bit of a shock that almost a quarter admitted to ogling someone else whilst on holiday and clearly it’s something that concerns a lot of people, especially women.”

He concluded, “The best thing for couples to do on holiday is to just relax and enjoy the experience, rather than worrying all the time about if their other half is eyeing up someone other than them. At the end of the day, a fairly small number of people admitted to actually cheating on holiday, so I don’t think there’s too much for holidaymakers to worry about.”
