July 7, 2010 - PRLog -- As part of its efforts to further develop technical publications standards, Boeing subsidiary CDG will be one of the exhibitors at the 2010 S1000D™ User Forum on September 27 to 30, 2010 in Moscow.

Sponsored by the CALS R&D Center, the Forum will feature the latest developments and applications of the technical publication standard, and how it relates to other AeroSpace and Defense (ASD) support specifications. In fact, the Forum will mark the release of advance information on the launch of S1000D™ issue 4.1 in Spring 2011, courtesy of members of the S1000D™ Steering Committee and its working groups. The Forum's highlights include a program presented by some of the industry’s leading S1000D™ and Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) experts, and an exhibit area featuring the latest software and consulting solutions available.

CDG's participation establishes the company's active role in the technical publications development business. Among its remarkable accomplishments is being the first technical publications provider to apply the S1000D™ standard to Land Based Defense Systems in the United Kingdom. This is after the set of guidelines has been adapted to cover the documentation process for land-based and marine equipment, in addition to the aerospace and defense applications.

CDG’s prominent role in the further development of S1000D™ standards finds its foundation in the company’s 40 years of technical publications development expertise. It has also launched proactive moves toward the cause of streamlining traditional standards, as well as helping companies apply them when developing their technical publications.

CDG has fielded representatives to hold important positions on the Electronic Publications Working Group (EPWG) in Europe and United States, and on the US Implementation Group as well. These efforts have also allowed the company to be at the forefront of changes that can affect its delivery of S1000D™ technical authoring and conversion services, as well as advisory services.
