Rockers out of San Diego, Latex Grenade, will release their debut EP on August 13, 2010. Their driving sound is unique in nature, and high in energy. "It's going to be great for our fans and the rest of the world to see our intensity and sound. There is really nothing like it," says lead singer and guitarist Geoff Davis, "our goal is to make believers in everything we stand for and our culture. This EP is our best compilation of everything we live for and believe," he added. The overall theme to this EP stresses open mindedness and overcoming self battles. Drummer, Chris Munson, adds a heavy pulse to the sound as bassist, Ross Garcia, holds down the melodic rhythm section.
Latex Grenade symbolically refers to the fragile earth. It is a ticking time bomb waiting to explode if us humans keep on going at the same rate as we are. The latex is just a tiny thin protective measure that can easily be torn if stretched too much. We are at the brink of pushing this earth to the limit, whether its killing and violence or burning too many fossil fuels, we are far away from perfect. Latex Grenade is not just a band, but a way of life; a belief that one can make a difference; a belief that we can change.
