Asset Services Provides Global IT Asset Inventory for Multi-National Entertainment Company

July 7, 2010 - PRLog -- Kansas City based Enterprise Asset Services, Inc. (Asset Services), an SBA Small Business,  fixed asset inventory service provider, recently completed an Information Technology Asset inventory for a multinational  motion picture and entertainment companies studios and offices internationally.  The project consisted of placing barcode labels on all IT equipment, then entering pertinent descriptive data about each piece of equipment in hand-held bar code scanners, such as manufacturer, model, serial number, and location.  Inventoried locations consisted of five cities in the US, including the main Burbank studio where many movies and television shows are created and filmed.  Also included in the project were 30 cities in 23 countries throughout Europe, Asia, Australia, North and South America, and the Middle East.  

The information gathered by Asset Services’ Inventory Specialists will enable the client to better maintain and track IT assets for repair, replacement, insurance and tax, and capital budgeting.  

Asset Services overcame challenges including a short lead time and short project duration.  Due to the immediacy of the project and the short deadline, Asset Services had to move fast and be extremely flexible.  With only two weeks to prepare from the signing of the contract until the project start date, Scott Wyckoff, CEO, commented “our people had to adapt to short-notice changes and quite often adjust their schedules at a moment’s notice.  We had times where we were sitting at a train station or airport in Europe, and had to change our destination in order to meet the client’s ever changing needs.  I believe being a smaller company aided us with this, as there was less red tape to deal with in such an event.”

Asset Services completed the project on time and on budget.
