The Corpus Christi Medical Center Explorer Post will offer career education for both young men and women who are 14 -20 years old and those who have completed the eighth grade. Explorers will have the opportunity to learn about healthcare careers and participate in activities including career observation in hospital departments and participating in community service events. This action oriented program will focus on Career Opportunities, Leadership Experience, Life Skills, Citizenship and Character Education.
“As a previous Explorer myself, the program helped me to pursue my interest in a medical career, which was a life-changing inspiration. It is an honor to have the opportunity to encourage our youth by offering hands-on interaction with healthcare professionals from Corpus Christi Medical Center. Ultimately, our goal is to help our youth pursue their interest in medical careers and to grow and develop leaders in the community “, said Edward Lamb, Chief Executive Officer at Corpus Christi Medical Center.
