The British-American Business Council Houston (BABC Houston) is pleased to announce that BG Group Chairman Martin Houston will serve as the chairman for the Honorary Committee for the BABC Houston International Business Awards. The event planning committee is being co-chaired by Lynn Houston of Continental Airlines and Valerie Mathieu of Wood Group.
The BABC Houston awards recognize the roles small to mid-sized companies, large corporations and individuals play in elevating the international esteem of the Greater Houston business community. The awards also recognize how companies and individuals conduct their business and their leadership in the civic community.
BABC Houston members and other community leaders may submit nominations for one or more companies/individuals, including their own. Nominees must be BABC members in good standing. Nominations close 31 July, 2010.
Awards in the three categories Small to Mid-sized Business, Large Corporate and the Consul General’s Award for Individual Achievement will be presented at a luncheon on 21 October, 2010, at the Hilton Houston Post Oak.
