From June 16th through June 18th 2010, LIES Linguistic Interrogation Expert Services trained 20 police officers from around Connecticut with a new training program designed to help them gather more accurate information and to improve their ability to distinguish between truthfulness and deception.
The officers were selected by the Connecticut Police Academy to attend this training program titled "Investigative Statement Analysis; Truth Through What They S.A.I.D." This training program enhances the interview and interrogation skills and abilities of the officers by training them to look at language and language patterns used by people they contact on a daily basis, from victims, witnesses, suspects and informants.
Some of the comments from the participants included "A tool that will prove valuable in solving - determining suspects. It will ultimately lead to thorough cases and improved time mgt." "Outstanding instruction. Very Valuable." "Great course - One of the best I have ever taken."
Agencies from outside Connecticut have already inquired about this training program and LIES Linguistic Interrogation Expert Services is making it available for agencies throughout the United States along with other training programs they teach.
