HR pros is extremely pleased to announce that Dr. Wayne Adams will be joining HR pros as a Senior Consultant and Government Liaison.
Dr. Adams has had an outstanding career as a politician, entrepreneur, businessman, broadcast journalist, and environmental activist. Raised and educated in Halifax, Dr. Adams has worked tirelessly in the Halifax-Dartmouth communities for over 40 years leading and participating in numerous socio-economic policy developments, sport-events, environment focus groups, and industry trade missions. He has represented Nova Scotia on the national and international stages and he is a recipient of the Order of Canada.
Dr. Adams served five terms as Municipal Councillor for Prestons and the Lakes in the former Halifax County, and he served one term as Deputy Warden in 1982-1983. In 1993, Dr. Adams secured his place in history when he became Nova Scotia’s first Black person elected to the Legislature, and subsequently also the first Black Cabinet Minister. "I believe I bring a diverse and significant amount of experience to HR pros,” says Adams. “Beyond government liaison, we bring a cross-section of experience from human resources management in government, to media development. Our political involvement on the municipal, provincial, and international scenes will benefit HR pros as we move forward."
HR pros’ managing partners Sylvain Allaire and Tanya Sieliakus are both elated that Dr. Adams decided to join HR pros. “To have access to someone of the calibre and experience of Dr. Adams is tremendous for our clients” says Allaire.
