Weather Prediction for Johns Creek, GA: Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs

July 5, 2010 - PRLog -- Last month, despite temps in the high 80s, hundreds of families put on cool attire and swarmed Newtown Park for the first in the Northside Hospital Forsyth's Movies in the Park series.  Southern Outdoor Cinema lit up Johns Creek with a screening of the film Alvin & the Chipmunk: The Squekquel on its 43 foot movie screen.

"We had a tremendous crowd at our last free movie in Johns Creek," says Paul Murray, owner of Southern Outdoor Cinema and "Movies in the Park" organizer. "The people of Johns Creek really get out and support their community, and we hope to see you all back at the park on July 10."  The movie schedule for next Saturday's screening is "Cloudy With A Chance of Meatballs."

Pre-movie entertainment begins at 7 p.m., when families can enjoy face painting, moonwalk and obstacle course, arts & crafts, giveaway, games and more. The movie begin at dusk.

Concessions will be available at the park, or moviegoers can bring a picnic to enjoy in their own chairs or on blankets. No glass containers or alcoholic beverages are allowed.

Movies in the Park are community sponsored events, which are free to the public. Sponsors included Northside Hospital – Forysth, City of Johns Creek Parks and Rec. and Southern Outdoor Cinema.
