New Book Great In 8: Job Seeking Skills Launch

July 5, 2010 - PRLog -- In June, unemployment rate dropped to 9.5% from 9.7% in May and private sector jobs rose 83,000. As people see their job prospects improving, more will actively seek employment. That means stiffer competition for few jobs and increased pressure for job seekers to be the absolute best they can be.  To help people gain that critical, competitive edge, Great In 8: Job Seeking Skills author and career coach Joan Tabb will cover her winning strategies for impressing interviewers, finding hidden job opportunities and maintaining a healthy mental attitude during a long job search at the book launch at Borders books in San Mateo on July 7, 2010.  

Great In 8:Job Seeking Skills features the very best from Tabb’s experiences as a 20-year corporate and start up veteran, employment network organizer and career coach.  As the first in a series of the next generation of ‘how to’ books, Great In 8:Job Seeking Skills is meant to be interactive and quickly implemented, propelling people off the page and into action.

El Camino Real, San Mateo (across from the Hillsdale Shopping Center).  Tabb will share excerpts from the book and answer real world questions audience members have about where they are currently struggling in their job searches.
