A few months ago, a group of film industry professionals came together to brainstorm about how they could introduce the glamorous world of filmmaking to those outside of Hollywood. In the history of Hollywood and filmmaking, no company like Hollywood Global Connect existed.
Hollywood Global Connect (HGC) is an introduction to a “Hollywood Fastbreak”. The program was developed for those who want the real “inside Hollywood experience”, not just a packaged bus tour. It is a program designed for those who can afford the ultimate adventure into the private and exclusive world of the movie industry.
Since LA is the grand purveyor of culture and the media capital of the world, it is the perfect place to launch this unique company. Spearheaded by marketing and public relations guru, Deborah Hayter, the program will give participants an opportunity to get an inside glimpse into the glamorous side of the film industry in a relatively short amount of time.
Hollywood Global Connect is set to launch in September, 2010 with the first 30 eager guests arriving from South Korea. Participants will enjoy complete services which includes transportation, lodging, meals and professional industry consultants. HGC offices, located in Studio City, will open its doors with a special High Tea Celebrity Meet and Greet.
Guests will be welcomed by Inge Sawerthal, President of the International Chamber of Commerce, Lou Gossett, Jr, Fabio, Wilhelmina Model, IZZY, Singer Songwriter Jessie Dimond, Filmmaker Bogdon Szumillas, Recording artist, Sheyna Gee, Music Producer Gavin Christopher, Music Agent, Jeff Arcio, Screenwriter Cindy Bekale, author Beverly Wheeler, and a number of other celebrities and dignitaries.
The program will consist of 21 days of immersion into the film industry, beginning with the development of a movie project. Guests will participate in actually making a short film. A Casting agent will be called in for the selection process. Those who choose not to act in the film will have a chance to gain insight working behind the scenes. Participants will be hear presentations by noted filmmakers, directors, producers, stylists, make-up artists, agents, managers and publicists.
During the second week, participants will ttend a live television show taping, Hollywood Premieres and a special dinner party hosted by a Hollywood Celebrity. The final week will be filled with black tie events, mixing and mingling with film industry folks and being photographed at their own red carpet film premiere.
Hollywood Global Connect is excited to bring this new and innovative concept to the entertainment capital of the world. "This is a program for anyone considering a career in the movie industry or just have a curiosity about how films are made," said HGC’s Co-Founder, Debbie Cho. Guests of this program will be introduced to those who make the movies, those who star in the movies and those who bring the images to life.
The HGC Executive team is spearheaded by Deborah Hayter; Executive Director, Bryan Bossard, Associate Director, Sam Benevides, Director of Film Production. Staff includes Marc Mazur, Serita Stevens, Brandon Clark and Lawrence Ayers.
About the Staff:
Deborah Hayter, a graduate of DePaul University has worked in the Entertainment Industry for over 20 years. She is a former Executive Board Member of Film Industry Network, the National Association of Publicists, the National Association of Women in Film and Entertainment and currently serves as a consultant on several film projects. Deborah has traveled extensively, representing and finding talent all over the world. She currently works with actor Jamal Dennis, actresses Robbin Cho, Deborah Rombaut, Savannah Ward, Samantha Lester and others. In addition, she has kept her pulse to the music industry representing recording artist, Sheyna Gee. Many of her clients have appeared in numerous movies and television shows. Deborah continues to work for the Cinema City International Film Festival, named by Movie Maker Magazine as one of the 25 best festivals in the country.
Bryan Bossard graduated from Johns Hopkins University’s accelerated CTY program and quickly matriculated to his school of choice, Emerson College, for his Master’s Degree in Film Business. Hehas worked for Disney/ABC, Ascent Media, AFI, The Tournament of Roses, David Naylor & Associates, The Disney Channel, and a series of independent projects and consulting services. The breadth of his experience spans every media endeavor including television, studio film, independent film, commercial shoots, industrial videos and new media.
Sam Benevides is a a well known independent filmmaker. Sam Benavides began sculpting his vision for filmmaking with a coming of age story entitled Forgotten Breath (1997). Hailed by the Wisconsin State Journal as "a gritty tale of Generation X," Forgotten Breath screened alongside Boogie Nights and Starship Troopers .He continues to shape his relentless determination for artistic and masterful filmmaking.
Freddy Boutros , a prolific and award-winning screenwriter earned a BFA in Screenwriting from New York's School of Visual Arts (SVA) in 2001. His comedy feature, "Saving Sandy" was nominated for Outstanding Achievement in Screenwriting at the 12th Annual Dusty Awards & Film Festival. Boutros has worked in television for over a decade on shows including “Live! With Regis & Kathie Lee”, "7th Heaven", "8 Simple Rules...", "Quintuplets"
Serita Stevens is the Executive Producer of an upcoming television show about youth called Tween to Teen. Stevens is also the writer for an upcoming TV sitcom called “Forensic Nurse”.
Marc Mazur has accumulated numerous film and television credits as well as roles in live theater and commercials. Marc excelled in football and track as a student at Arizona State University and at the United Stated Air Force Academy. His educational and athletic endeavors have helped him to develop the discipline and physicality he brings to his acting performances.
Brandon Clark is the President and founder of Archetype Pictures. His future as a filmmaker was set in place almost from the day he was born. As the heir apparent of a generation of film industry folk, he is part of the new breed of filmmakers. His parents and grandparents who were successful in their own right, made significant, influential and, indelible contributions to shaping this young man’s future in film industry. One of Brandon’s biggest fans is his paternal Grandfather, Robin Clark, a well known and respected 1st Director, UPM, in blockbuster movies starring John Wayne such as “Hellfighters,”
