ARTISTS EXPOSED IN FALMOUTH

A new event to benefit artists is to be featured as part of Henri Lloyd Falmouth Week on Wednesday 11th August.

Competitors and their families, as well as boat enthusiasts from around the world, will boost the numbers of visiting tourists in the area from 7th – 15th August.  Added to local families who are seeking entertainment during the school holidays, the footfall in Falmouth will see a dramatic increase.

Eventy – Marketing & PR is utilising this opportunity to benefit artists, where they can showcase and sell their art at an event in the centre of the town called “exposedART”.

“exposedART” will feature midweek of the lively shore side programme, from 9am – 5pm on the Wednesday in the giant marquee on Falmouth’s Events Square.  Entry to the public is free, with a bar all day to ensure that visitors can browse at their leisure.

Pitches at the event start at just £25 and artists interesting in utilising this opportunity should contact Eventy – Marketing & PR on info@eventy.co.uk / 01326 376273.

Helen Mulhern, Director of Eventy said, “Cornwall is well known and loved for its wealth of art which takes its inspiration from the beautiful environment and unique light in the county.  There are so many amazing artists here who may not get the opportunities that they need to showcase their work so we wanted to use this space, and take advantage of the boosted footfall at this time of year, to benefit them.”

Helen continued, “We already have a range of artists who have booked spaces, from sculptors to painters.   We hope that the day will demonstrate what a broad range of creative skills we have here in Cornwall, whilst visitors and locals will have an opportunity make a purchase to take a little bit of Cornwall home with them”.

The event will be listed as part of the Henri Lloyd Falmouth Week programme on the festival’s website at www.falmouthweek.co.uk where you can also find the link to their Facebook group. Information about the day will also be shared through Twitter at http://www.twitter.com/HLFalmouthWeek and http://www.twitter.com/EventyMarketing

In addition to the events already in the programme, there is also the opportunity to add your own event to the Henri Lloyd Falmouth Week by organising an event in the marquee on Events Square on Monday 9th, Tuesday 10th, Thursday 12th or Friday 13th.

Opportunities to sponsor the events taking place on Events Square each night are also available, including the Wurzel’s Hog Roast and Cider Night, Competitors Night and end of Henri Lloyd Falmouth Week Party.

For more information about any of these opportunities please contact Helen Mulhern at Eventy – Marketing & PR on 01326 376273.
