July 1, 2010 - PRLog -- The Cinema City International Online Film Festival’s panel of Judges is proud to announce the May, 2010 winners.  The Festival serves as a showcase for screenwriters and directors from around the world, inspiring provocative cinema by emerging talents within the industry.

May winners are Joe Elliott and Glenn Harding.

Joe Elliott:  Gold Award for Screenplay, “Point of Reception”.

Joe Elliot received a Gold Award for his screenplay, “Point of Reception".  Joe was born in Seattle, Washington and grew up in Bodega Bay amongst the redwood forests and the ocean. Joe joined the Navy and eventually received his BA degree in Journalism from the University of Nevada in Reno.  While still in school, he won “Best News Story”.  Joe retired from teaching several years ago which enables him to devote more time to writing.  He continues his pursuit of happiness as a pilot and member of the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association and his interests in physics, Eastern Mysticism and “Joseph Campbell Styled Mythology.”

Glenn Harding: Silver Award for Screenplay, “Paradise Under the Sun”.

Glenn Harding is the recipient of a “Silver Award” for his screenplay, "Paradise Under the Sun". Glen was born and raised in the Bronx surrounded by a rich multi-cultural diverse environment that would later shape his life’s journey.  He eventually became a VISTA Volunteer, working with low-income families in the Appalachian Mountains of North Carolina.  He continued his community service as a teacher in an inner-city high school in Portland Oregon while earning both his Bachelor and Master’s degree in Education for Disadvantaged Youth. Serving as five-time editor of the Oregon Blue Book, the official state book of Oregon, Glenn featured the contributions, accomplishments and sacrifices made by women and people of color in Oregon history.

Today, Glenn serves as Director of an innovative barrier removal program for Steps To Success and the Oregon Department of Human Services serving low-income, single parents seeking employment, safe housing and educational opportunities.

Glenn's award-winning screenplay is inspired by the many courageous men and women he teaches and counsels as new students transitioning back home into civilian life, after proudly serving our country in Iraq and Afghanistan
