Personal Injury Attorneys of Alpizar Law Support National Tire Month

Palm Bay, FL – The personal injury attorneys Alpizar Law, O. John and David Alpizar, and staff is proud to support National Tire Safety Month (June 2010), and Tire Safety Week (June 6 -June 12, 2010). We encourage drivers to keep their tires in good condition to help motorists drive safely, save on fuel costs, and protect the environment.

“June is National Tire Safety Month, an opportunity to think about the importance of regular maintenance and attention to your tires,” says David Alpizar. “We are committed to helping drivers and their families stay safe.”

Alpizar Law encourages drivers to get in the habit of taking a few minutes to check your tires, including the spare. The Rubber Manufacturers Association (RMA) recommends the following proper tire care:

•   Pressure: Underinflation results in unnecessary tire stress, irregular wear, loss of control and accidents. A tire can lose up to half of its air pressure and not appear to be flat!
•   Alignment: Is your vehicle pulling to one side, or shaking? A bad jolt from hitting a curb or pothole can throw your front end out of alignment and damage your tires. Have a tire dealer check the alignment periodically to ensure that your car is properly aligned.
•   Rotation: Promotes uniform tire wear. Regularly rotating your vehicle's tires will help you achieve more uniform wear. Unless your vehicle owner's manual has a specific recommendation, the guideline for tire rotation is approximately every 5,000 miles.
•   Tread: Measure it -- and inspect it. Advanced and unusual wear can reduce the ability of tread to grip the road in adverse conditions. Visually check your tires for uneven wear, looking for high and low areas or unusually smooth areas. Also, check for signs of damage.

National Safety Month is sponsored by the The National Safety Council (NSC), a group that is dedicated to “preventing injuries and deaths at work, on the roads and in homes and communities.”

John Alpizar and David M. Alpizar are attorneys with Alpizar Law, LLC. The personal injury/wrongful death firm, founded in 1983, is headquartered in Palm Bay, Florida, at 1528 NE Palm Bay Road.
