Kristy Kay has been a diligent supporter of children’s rights since she was a little girl herself and as an artist familiar with struggling, giving back is the foundation for her success. “Working with an organization like Children Mending Hearts is an honor and being in a position to truly give back is how I gauge success. The fact that I am able to use my voice to not only entertain, but also to generate awareness for children in need is a dream come true,” said Kristy Kay.
Kristy Kay and Children Mending Hearts will be working together from this point forward on various events and awareness efforts. For more information on upcoming events visit www.kristykaymusic.com.
Kristy Kay has been in virtually every home in America. If you’ve ever watched TV and seen a commercial from Toyota, IBM, Coca Cola, Barbie, or the Bratz, then chances are that Kristy has visited for at least 30 seconds. Kristy Kay is one of the major contributors to the uber-successful kids craze “Kidz Bop,” which is at 20 million in sales and is probably blaring in one of your kids’ rooms right now.
With thousands of sessions behind her, Kristy’s credits behind the microphone read like a who’s who in music royalty. After paying her dues, Kristy enjoyed a few deals of her own; one with Universal Records for her Song “Who’s That Loving You Now?" Kristy was also hired to be the lead voice on a few other hits, most notably the re-make of “I Touch Myself” by DJ Lenny B (Feat Kristy Kay) on Radikal Records, which enjoyed commercial radio success and pushed them to number one on XM Radio. Kristy has decided to come out from behind the studio mic and put a face to her own music - writing and co producing her forthcoming album.
“American Princess” is the first single from KK, a perfect confection of her rock and dance influences. . For more information about Kristy Kay visit www.kristykaymusic.com. To book Kristy Kay, contact Mike Esterman at www.esterman.com.
Founded in 2008 by Lysa Heslov, the purpose of Children Mending Hearts is to give children worldwide the power to find and use their voices through creative expression. CMH conducts workshops in the arts in America with local homeless children’s organizations, and internationally with NGO’s supporting children in conflict zones.
Through a team of arts/cultural specialists who conduct workshops in the arts including painting, photography, music, dance and drama, these kids experience the joy of childhood. Children Mending Hearts’ programs help expand the individual potential of these young people by strengthening their minds through creative stimulation and helping them grow into better global citizens.
Domestically, Children Mending Hearts empowers local organizations that work with disadvantaged and at-risk children throughout the country. CMH finds out what the participating organizations need, where they are lacking, and where they need help. CMH then brings in a volunteer pool so that when they leave a city after their workshop those volunteers are able to execute the Take Action points that CMH has given them.
