The focus for NCKRI is to conduct, coordinate, and facilitate the research of caves and karst, which is the special type of landscape that is formed by the dissolution of soluble rocks. The institute provides analysis of cave related information, conducts educational programs, promotes national and international cooperative programs, and develops environmentally sound and sustainable cave and karst management practices.
Responsibilities for the Advancement Director include, but are not limited to development (fundraising)
“There is quite a bit happening with NCKRI. We have a new 17,000-square foot building nearing completion in the City of Carlsbad (New Mexico) that a unique cave research laboratory and conference rooms, plus a museum and other sites of interest for the general public. The Advancement Director is the next step in growing NCKRI to its envisioned international level.”
