The training will offer a comprehensive overview of the National Endowment for Financial Education® (NEFE®) High School Financial Planning Program® (HSFPP). Attendees will receive instruction on how to order the free teaching materials, as well as in-depth guidance on how to effectively utilize the materials with their students.
About NEFE HSFPP: The program focuses on competency-based learning, providing students with the tools they need to apply financial skills in their own lives such as; creating a personal budget, proposing a personal saving and investing plan, selecting strategies to use in handling credit and managing debt, and examining the impact of career and lifestyle choices on their financial plan.
Who should attend: The Financial Education Summer Training is beneficial for teachers (e.g., business, social studies, economics, family/consumer sciences, math and special education), youth practitioners from community-based non-profit organizations and state agencies, and any other individuals providing financial education to high school or middle school students.
