According to a recent article published by the Mayo Clinic, an out-of-step work-life balance may result in fatigue, lost time with friends and loved ones, and increased expectations from co-workers and superiors that lead individuals to take on even more responsibilities. An around-the-clock influx of e-mails, phone messages, and extended work hours is putting people around the world on the fast-track to burn-out.
To help combat this issue, the Northeast Oklahoma Chapter of the American Society for Training and Development is offering a special ‘time-out’
Steve Laswell has developed himself as a leader and a developer of people both in the business world as General Sales Manager of KRMG and then, Station Manager for Cox Radio-Tulsa and now, as The People Developer and founder of Next Level Executive Coaching, LLC.
According to Mr. Laswell, the heart of the problem for many professionals is that they neglect to create space in their lives for their own personal development. Mr. Laswell will draw on this concept of creating space in order to help Oklahoma’s busiest professionals get back on-track toward a more well-rounded and fulfilling lifestyle.
Time-Out with Steve Laswell will be held at the Spirit Bank Community Room on July 16th from 9 AM to 12 PM, with registration opening at 8:15 AM. The session is open to the community and ASTD membership is not required to attend. The cost of this event is $50 for ASTD national or chapter members, and $75 for non-members;
