Tax attorney and widely recognized tax expert Roni Deutch nominated the managing attorney of her nationwide tax law firm for consideration as a member on the Internal Revenue Service Advisory Council (IRSAC).
“The IRSAC’s role is to discuss tax issues,” explains Deutch, “and to offer constructive observations about IRS policies, procedures, and programs. My law firm has been representing taxpayers for two decades, and my managing attorney knows firsthand what it is like to work with the IRS. Hein is a very talented tax lawyer who would be an invaluable asset to the IRSAC.”
IRSAC is comprised of thirty-five members who represent a diverse taxpayer and stakeholder base. Five times a year members of the IRSAC meet for two-day sessions where they discuss tax law issues and review current IRS policies. Once a year, the group also submits a report to the Commissioner of Internal Revenue. If selected, Hein will serve a three-year term beginning in January 2011.
