The NW Great Outdoors Show is an exciting new event, which will provide a bank holiday weekend for outdoor activity enthusiasts, caravanners and campers, all contributing to the burgeoning ‘Staycation’
Show dates are Saturday 28th-Monday 30th August - Bank Holiday Weekend at the fantastic Haydock Park Racecourse which is situated exactly midway between Manchester & Liverpool.
The organisers say they chose the venue for a number of reasons. Apart from the sheer numbers of leisure manufacturers in the north, this area has a catchment of 6 million people and is within easy reach of major local towns including Warrington, St Helens, Wigan, Widnes, Skelmersdale, Chorley, Bolton, Leigh, Stockport and Knutsford.
The show itself will be a huge affair, featuring four main elements – Holiday, Park & Retirement Homes, Motor Homes, Caravans & Camping. This will be supported with complimentary themes of Active Lifestyle & Healthy Living, with all kinds of outdoor leisure pursuits and entertainment for the whole family.
Reaction to the announcement has been very positive with leisure industry player Anne Marie, owner of Kinderton Park, in Middlewich commenting ‘ This is a very welcome event – the industry has been talking about the need for a show like this in the North West’
Major leisure home manufacturer Tingdene will be exhibiting. Andrew Westwood, Senior Business Development Manager said ‘ Tingdene are pleased to be supporting this new North West show.
Cambrian Park & Leisure Homes’ Chris Buckley announced that the company will be launching their new Millbrook Leisure Home to the trade and public at The North West Great Outdoors Show.
Also looking forward to the show is Marquis Motorhomes, Marketing Director Alan Buckwell said ‘Marquis are delighted to be supporting the Great Outdoors Show and will be exhibiting 8 units – probably 5 motor homes & 3 caravans’
The show is presented Econfex Ltd headed up by Steve Foley who has been organising events in UK & Far East for over 25 years including the Lego World Show, which saw 100,000 visitors, the first Malaysian Home Show and, closer to home, the recent Internet Marketers Ball.
Foley said ‘The trick to running a successful event is to have a great team and I am pleased to announce the appointment of Eddie Milton as the event management consultant. Eddie has launched, marketed and managed, boat shows, car shows, health & beauty shows and outdoor events, including shows at racecourses just like this, so we collectively have nearly 50 years event management experience ‘
