After earning his Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Texas at Arlington, Opalach completed his doctor of osteopathy degree at the University of North Texas Health Science Center, Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine. He performed his family practice internship and residency at the Plaza Medical Center of Fort Worth.
