Vienna-based aspiring rock act WEIRD brings it home to you tooth and nail, blending first-rate songwriting with pounding grooves, punching guitar riffs and highly harmonic vocals on top. Notorious to locals in the greater Vienna, Austria area for their sudatory and uplifting live shows over the past three years, Weird have now come full circle with their album release "Equilibrium at risk" highlighting topical themes of loss and upheavelesque changes in life.
While touching upon serious topics in their lyrics, the (in musical terms) seductive six-piece band from the City of Waltz always has their audience leave venues with smiling faces and light-up eyes. Weird forces you into dealing with the demons past and present, but their irresistibly powerful performance both on stage and in the studio just means "defences down" for anyone in a foul mood.
