The Alliance for the Arts signature fundraiser, Art Royale, has been described as the most anticipated and innovative arts event in Lee County. Now in its seventh year, the event returns with a theme inspired by the natural word and all of its beauty, mystery and power. Art Royale 2010 – IT’S ALL ELEMENTAL is scheduled for November 20, 2010.
Art Royale is a one-night celebration of art displaying the most intriguing artists, tantalizing entertainers and interactive art exhibits. Lydia Black, Alliance Executive Director describes the event as, “An opportunity for the community to take part in creating art.”
Guests who attend Art Royale 2010 - IT’S ALL ELEMENTAL should expect to be energized by the fantasy style atmosphere of the Alliance campus, decorated to the highest degree. Interactive artist installations are aimed to provoke the imagination, stimulate the senses and introduce an innovative view of the elements - Earth, Wind, Fire, Water and Space. The Alliance encourages guests to wear costumes and consider themselves part of the show.
In addition to musical, dance, theater and interpretive performances scheduled throughout the entire evening, culinary artist will be serving up special hors d’ oeuvres and deserts created to match the theme.
New this year, the Alliance for the Arts has incorporated an IT’S ALL ELEMETNAL Juried Gallery Exhibition open to Alliance members. Chosen 2D/3D artwork, related to the events theme, will be displayed November 16th – 27th and featured as the main gallery exhibit at Art Royale 2010.
The Alliance is now seeking artists to participate in the seventh annual signature fundraiser, Art Royale – IT’S ALL ELEMENTAL. The official “Call to Artists” is available for artists interested in creating an Interactive Art Installation, submitting work for the Juried Gallery Exhibition or participating as a Performing Artists. The Lee County ALLIANCE of the ARTS proudly supports the artists and arts organizations in our area as the state designated Local Arts Agency for Lee County. The ALLIANCE for the ARTS galleries are open from 9 to 5 Monday through Friday and from 9AM to 12PM on Saturdays, located at 10091 McGregor Boulevard just south of Colonial Boulevard.
