The Dylan Thomas Centre hosts the third memorial evening for the late Neath writer Terry Hetherington on Wednesday, 7 July at 7pm.
We launch the publication of Cheval 3, selected writing by and about Terry, with readings and tributes from his friends, and award the second Terry Hetherington Bursary to a promising young writer from Wales.
This year’s winners, who will all be taking part in the evening, are Jonathan Edwards of Newport (First Prize of £1,000) and Anna Lewis of Cardiff and Tyler Keevil of mid-Wales (Joint Second Place). Highly Commended was Ben James of Llanelli, who will also be performing on the bagpipes. Last year’s winner, Rose Widlake, makes a welcome return to the Dylan Thomas Centre to participate in the evening.
