June 24, 2010 - PRLog -- Retired colonel Jesse A. Marcel, Jr. is convinced that, as an 11-year old living in Roswell, New Mexico, in 1947, he held in his hands twisted metallic wreckage from an extraterrestrial spacecraft. "From that evening on, my life took on a different meaning," said Marcel, who is scheduled to appear on the Jeff Rense radio program on June 25, 2010. "I could never look at the night sky the same way again, because, for all I knew, someone else might be looking back,"

Marcel, Jr. will be joined on the Jeff Rense program by Noe Torres and E. J. Wilson, authors of the recently-released book "Ultimate Guide to the Roswell UFO Crash: A Tour of Roswell's UFO Landmarks," for which Marcel wrote the Foreword. The program will air live on June 25 from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. Pacific time and may be listened to at  http://www.renseradio.com/listenlive.htm.

In "Ultimate Guide," the authors describe Marcel's incredible encounter with the unearthly, "In the early morning hours of July 8, 1947, Jesse Marcel, Jr., age 11, was asleep in his bedroom at 1300 West 7th Street, when his father suddenly came into his room and excitedly told him to follow him into the kitchen to look at something very strange. What Major Jesse Marcel, Sr. was about to show his son on that quiet summer evening would change both their lives forever. After the two walked through the quiet house in eager anticipation, the elder Marcel spread out on the kitchen table a boxful of metallic debris like neither had ever seen before."

Marcel, Jr. remembers to this day the amazing material that he saw, "The foil had a more or less dull appearance, kind of like a burnished aluminum surface, not shiny or highly reflective, although one side may have been more polished than the other, The surface of the foil itself was somewhat smooth. The pieces themselves didn’t have any distinct design or shape; they were amorphous. I remember looking at some of the foil material for quite a while. In particular, I remember how light it was – if you dropped it, it would float like a feather.”

Marcel, Jr., 74, is a retired Navy physician and Army National Guard helicopter pilot. He now lives in Helena, Montana. In addition to writing the Foreword for "Ultimate Guide to the Roswell UFO Crash," Marcel, Jr. also assisted author Noe Torres with the portions of the book dealing with his father, Major Jesse Marcel, Sr., who was the air intelligence officer for the 509th Composite Bomb Wing based in Roswell in 1947.

In the book's Foreword, Marcel, Jr. recalls what his father said about the wreckage he showed them in the kitchen of their Roswell home in 1947, "He told my mother and me that what we were looking at were parts from a flying saucer. Although, still groggy with sleep, the full implications of the phrase 'flying saucer' did not sink it at first, I realized from my dad’s excited state that this was something extremely unique and important. My interest was especially piqued when Dad said that I would never see something like this again in my life. The realization suddenly dawned on me that what he was saying is that what we were looking at had come from somewhere besides Earth and that this was part of a machine from another planet."

Marcel, Jr. has also assisted Torres and Wilson with their plan to offer walking tours of the former Roswell Army Air Field, during the annual Roswell UFO Festival, to be held July 1-5, 2010. The authors will be taking small groups of UFO enthusiasts on 90-minute walks at the base where Marcel's father was stationed and where many eyewitnesses claim the crashed UFO and alien bodies were taken and hidden from public view for several days after the crash. More information about the tours is available at http://www.RoswellTours.com.

Also in the book's Foreword, Marcel, Jr. writes, "I’m often asked how this experience affected my life. In other words, how did I change after handling material which to this day I am convinced came from another civilization? The experience was definitely a 'game changer' in my life. An immediate impact was that it increased my belief in God as Creator of the nearly limitless universe. Suddenly and profoundly, I realized that human beings are not alone in the vast cosmos."

The Jeff Rense interview with Marcel, Jr. and the authors of "Ultimate Guide" will be broadcast live beginning at 7 p.m. Pacific time on June 25, 2010 and will then be available in the Rense radio archives, which are available by subscription at http://www.rense.com.
