By: Shepherd's Center Central • Use your A/C! • Take cool baths and showers! • Call 911 if you feel dizzy or nauseous • Contact Shepherd’s Center if you have questions or need to know about community projects that provides fans and a/c units to those in need • Older adults are particularly at risk for developing heat-related illness. The ability to gauge personal temperature decreases as one ages and some medications can exacerbate this effect as well. This summer, check on the well-being of older neighbors, friends and family.
