June 24, 2010 - PRLog -- In acclaimed web show, “Celebrity Liar,” two celebrities tell the same story--as if it happened to them--to a LIVE web and studio audience.  After each has a turn, the web audience casts their vote on who they believe is lying. If the liar receives more votes, the celebrity who was telling the truth gets a point. If the audience votes the other way, the liar gets two points.  Viewers can participate in asking questions on our LIVE webcast via the chat room, which is moderated by the lovely co-host, Louise Roe (from “Plain Jane” on the CW), to our host and Executive Producer Andrew Hill Newman (one of the creators and executive producers of “Celebrity Poker Showdown”).  Then, it’s up to the audience to decide, “Who’s the liar?”

“Celebrity Liar” is excited to have Jason Alexander (“Seinfeld”) vs Lizzy Caplan (“Party Down”) as guests on Tuesday, June 29, 2010.  The only prize that is given out is a Mega Millions lottery ticket, and each celebrity mentions a favorite charity to whom they plan to donate "an undisclosed" portion of their winnings, should they hit the jackpot.

Jason Alexander is an actor, comedian, singer, and avid poker player.  He is best known for his role as George Costanza on the TV series Seinfeld (1989-98).  He’s had an active role on stage, appearing in several Broadway musicals, including “Jerome Robbins’ Broadway” in 1989, for which he won the Tony Award for Best Actor in a Musical.

Lizzy Caplan is an actress best known for her role as Janis Ian in “Mean Girls” and Marlena Diamond in “Cloverfield.”  She is currently in HBO’s “True Blood” and can be seen as Casey in the STARZ network comedy, “Party Down.”

Media Quotes about “Celebrity Liar”:

“The real deal!” “A hidden gem!” “If you're missing the old celebrity-based panel shows of the past, which were devoid of all the glitz, neon lights, and manufactured drama we see today in prime time games, then Celebrity Liar will really hit the spot.”
-- About.com

“I had a chance to visit a live broadcast of Celebrity Liar, with Reid Scott and Jamie Kaler, stars of TBS’ My Boys, trying to poker bluff host Andrew Hill Newman with some outrageous childhood stories. The crazy part being that one of them was actually telling the truth.”
--TubeFilterNews (Marc Hustvedt, Editor-in-Chief of TubeFilter & Exec. Producer of the Streamy Awards)

“A simple premise that promises laughter, creativity, and interactivity each week.  The best part is that you never know who is going to show up.  …Each guest brings their own energy and personality to the room, so it plays like live theatre, you never know what type of show you are going to get.”
-- Red Carpet Closet

“It’s apparent how much he (Andrew Hill Newman) enjoys what he’s doing as he not only gets the most out of his guests as they tell their stories but he remembers the LIVE audience watching and brings them in as well… and not like TV – this audience has a voice and he’s listening… so are the celebrity guests!“
