CaramelCrisp® Popcornsicle Makes Triumphant Return to Taste of Chicago

June 23, 2010 - PRLog -- CHICAGO (June 2010) -- Garrett Popcorn Shops will once again treat the millions of Chicagoans and tourists who flock to the Taste of Chicago (Grant Park, Friday, June 25 through Sunday, July 4) with the refreshing "Popcornsicle."

"It's a tasty treat, fun to eat and freezing cold - perfect for summertime in Chicago,” says Jack Aiello, Garrett Popcorn Shops Vice President of Marketing.

What is a Popcornsicle? "It is a handcrafted CaramelCrisp® popcorn ball on a popsicle stick, then flash frozen, producing an icy-cold fog that billows from your mouth as you eat it," explains Aiello. "This process intensifies the caramel flavor of the popcorn and creates a one-of-a-kind, subzero feeling in the mouth."

The Popcornsicle makes its triumphant return at the Taste of Chicago at Garrett Popcorn Shops booth #53, facing Balbo Drive near the South entrance.

Garrett will offer five menu items: the Popcornsicle, 6 tickets; a five-ounce bag of The Chicago Mix, 10 tickets; a half-pound bag of Mixed Nuts, 12 tickets or sample size for 4 tickets; and Garrett Popcorn Balls, 4 tickets each.
