Encore Path Wins Stevie® Award In Eighth Annual American Business Awards

Encore Path, a Baltimore, Maryland company, won the 2010 Stevie Award for "Best New Product" for its Tailwind rehabilitation device at the American Business Awards June 21. Tailwind helps stroke survivors recover arm function and regain independence.

June 23, 2010 - PRLog -- Encore Path, Inc., a Baltimore company that makes devices for recovery from stroke and brain injury, won a Stevie Award for “Best New Product or Service of the Year” for its Tailwind rehabilitation device in The 2010 American Business Awards on June 21, 2010. The Tailwind helps stroke and brain injury survivors with paralysis recover their arm movement and regain their independence.

The awards were presented during ceremonies at the Marriott Marquis Hotel in New York City.  The ceremonies were hosted by Cheryl Casone of Fox Business Network and broadcast nationwide on radio by the Business TalkRadio Network.  

In winning one of the Stevie awards, which are considered “the Oscars” of the business world, Encore Path, an emerging life sciences company, competed along with long-time leaders of American industry. Encore Path beat out other finalists for “New Product or Service of the Year” including products such as an external defibrillator and services such as a LEED certification training program.

In accepting the Stevie, Encore Path President Kris Appel said, “Encore Path is proud to be improving the quality of life for stroke and brain injury survivors around the world, and we are proud to be recognized for this by the American Business Awards.”

Stevie Awards were presented in over 40 categories including Best Overall Company of the Year, Executive of the Year, and Corporate Social Responsibility Program of the Year.  More than 2,700 entries from organizations of all sizes and in virtually every industry were submitted for consideration.  

More than 200 executives across the country participated in the judging process to determine the Finalists and Stevie Award winners.
