PRLog - Jun. 23, 2010 - ASHEVILLE, N.C. -- To say the electronic music scene has been growing in Asheville over the past year would be an understatement. Producers and performers have been emerging, and the creative output from this town, not just electronic, but from all genres of music, has been consistently excellent.
Meet one such electronic music producer, Danny Peck, developing music under the moniker "dep." His music is one part film score, one part glitchy electronic beats, and one part ambient, down-tempo groove, and he has been dropping albums at a steady pace on his website, http://justdep.com since 2005.
He's well in to the production of his next release, "Start Loving the Robots," and is performing an experiment that he's dubbed "The I Love ____ Global Collaboration Project" where he's asking individuals to phone in to his automated phone line and leave a short message telling him what they love. From "I love strawberries,"
He's not stopping on the web, either. Over the next couple of weeks, dep will be wandering the streets of downtown Asheville, asking random individuals what it is they love and recording their responses. If he records you, your voice will appear on this forthcoming release and you'll receive a free copy of the album as well.
To participate roll over to dep's website and follow the instructions to send in your response today! http://justdep.com/
