CARLISLE, PA – “Where in the world are we going to eat?” How many times have you asked that very question then ended up in a restaurant you know nothing about? Chances are it has happened more times than you can count. A website called Diningverse was created a few years ago to help people in their quest for great places to eat. As the website has gained momentum, and now lists nearly 700 restaurants in Pennsylvania alone, a new online food ordering solution called MenuDrive has just added to its ever-expanding menu of choices.
Diningverse (http://www.diningverse.com) is an Erie-based restaurant menu directory site that helps people choose places to eat based on their friends’ favorites. Instead of depending on random colored-in stars and restaurant reviews that have been done by nameless, faceless people, customers can decide where to eat based on what their friends recommend. The recommendation is automatically sent through quick email messages. It can also be accessed at anytime through patron profiles. On the restaurant side, Diningverse allows owners and managers to maintain their own profiles. They can also post their menus and photos online with Facebook and Twitter integration.
"We've had a number of our restaurant owners ask about online ordering in the last few months," Chris Starr, a partner at Diverse Ventures, LLC, the parent company of Diningverse, said. "Since Diningverse is driven by suggestions and feedback from our patrons and independent restaurant owners, we expect that teaming up with MenuDrive (to provide this service) to be a welcomed alliance.”
MenuDrive (http://www.menudrive.com) is an online ordering software program created for restaurants of all sizes. The new, cost-effective software was released by Cruzstar LLC (http://www.cruzstar.com), a Carlisle, PA company that has been developing online food ordering solutions for five years. MenuDrive is a user-friendly program that gives any restaurant the power to display its menu online, and allows customers full control of ordering from it. With MenuDrive, customers place their order online, and enter their pickup, delivery and secure payment information. Orders are then sent to the store’s fax machine, computer or email address and received within seconds. Workers prepare the order as usual and once it is complete – customers are on their way.
“The synergy between Diningverse and MenuDrive is powerful,” Adrian Fang, president and CEO of Cruzstar LLC, said. “Customers will now have the capability to promote their online ordering sites through Diningverse’
