Introduction to K9 Nose Work Seminar comes to For Your Canine!

June 22, 2010 - PRLog -- Schiller Park, IL; Dogs have an amazing sense of smell and a natural desire to hunt.  The sport of K9 Nose Work is designed to develop these natural scenting abilities through fun and games.  Geared towards dogs of all shapes and sizes, this is a great way for your dog to have fun, build confidence, and burn lots of mental and physical energy.  This sport also reinforces the bond between handler and dog.

On Saturday July 17th and Sunday 18th, 2010 For Your Canine will present two 1 day seminars devoted to K9 Nose Work.  K9 Nose Work co-founders Ron Gaunt and Amy Herot will be on hand to get your dog started in this fast growing sport.  Their approach to teaching dogs scent work is based on the foundation skills used in K9 detection work.  Each day will provide an introduction on how to shape your dog’s amazing sense of smell and their love of performing a task.  The seminar runs from 9:00 am – 5:00 pm each day.  Auditing spots are available for $85.00.  This price includes breakfast and lunch.
