Follow on Google News | NJ Nissan Dealer Pricing Vehicles Low Enough to Anger the CompetitionNJ Nissan customers of Route 22 Nissan are continually happy because of the dealership’s low pricing, but many area competitors, even the “big boss,” are not so fond of Route 22 Nissan.
By: joe porta Local area competitors have been constantly complaining about Route 22 Nissan’s low pricing. Dealers such as Toyota, Honda and other Nissan and NJ dealers have been put up against the wall because of Route 22 Nissan. Those dealerships have been unable to compete with the rock-bottom pricing of Route 22 Nissan and continue to lose customers to the NJ Nissan dealership. “We take a lot of heat for how we price our vehicles,” said Joe Gorr, general manager of Route 22 Nissan. “But that’s not going to stop us from treating our customers right. We’ve heard what’s being said about us, and it only motivates us to put our pricing lower than it’s ever been.” Examples of pricing NJ Nissan buyers will find at Route 22 Nissan include certified pre-owned vehicle specials like the 2009 Nissan Versa for as little as $5.20 a day, or $8,778. New model pricing is already low—such as the lease special on the 2010 Nissan Sentra for $68.68 per month for three and a half years—but Route 22 Nissan is taking it one step further by letting all customers know the listed price doesn’t mean it’s written in stone. All NJ Nissan customers are encouraged to write their own deal and if it’s reasonable Route 22 Nissan will do everything in its power to find them the vehicle that suits their needs best. “I can’t say this enough, but we always have a policy in place of no reasonable offer refused,” Mr. Gorr said. “Our customers can make an offer on any of our vehicles, new or pre-owned, and if it’s realistic, we’ll give it to them. We want to because our goal is to break our monthly sales record each and every month.” The objective of breaking a monthly sales goal should be agreeable to any boss, but the biggest boss of all, Nissan Motor Company (factory), has been less than pleased with Route 22 Nissan for offering what it finds to be too low pricing, and has asked Route 22 Nissan to increase its pricing in order to help other Nissan dealerships sell their cars. Yet though the corporation may feel a threat of lost revenue because of Route 22 Nissan, Mr. Gorr said that’s not the case and he’s sticking to his low pricing. “We’re still a profitable dealership and I believe it’s because we have been cutting back so drastically on pricing without eliminating any of our services or reducing total customer care. In fact, we’ve been increasing our customer service in all areas of our business so there’s no reason to stop pricing our vehicles as low as we have been.” Route 22 Nissan will go to many lengths for their NJ Nissan customers, including stocking the dealership to its maximum capacity with more makes and models than other dealerships. Convenience abounds for NJ Nissan customers as they have the ability to watch in-depth videos about various Nissan vehicles, schedule service, or get finance information on Route 22 Nissan’s website in an instant.
