Mom Entrepreneur of the Year 2010

June 22, 2010 - PRLog -- (Toronto, Ontario June 22, 2010) - Belly Buttons & Babies company has been put into the ring to win The SavvyMom Mom Entrepreneur of the Year Award, a readers' choice contest designed to find Canada's top Mom Entrepreneur. The winner will be announced in the fall, and will be rewarded with a $22,000 prize that was designed to help take that business to the next level.

While pregnant with her first daughter, Fran began to seek-out skin care products that were organically and environmentally pure. Unable to find products that met her high standards, she decided to create her own. Even though it began as a brand specifically designed for baby’s delicate skin, Fran decided to create her own signature line.

Belly Buttons & Babies was launched in September 2009 and is the recipient of the PTPA 2009 Best Product Award Winner for their Mom & Baby Cream!

We’re excited about this contest, as it will allow us to further market our company and products.

“I’ve always wanted my own business. I became a Certified Aromatherapist (14 years ago) and found I was very interested in making body and skin care products” says Fran. I took many courses to learn how to make these products from scratch using my aromatherapy background. As a mother, I was worried about getting stretch marks while pregnant and started experimenting with various products and came up with a few that friends and family liked (myself included). I then decided to start a business making these various products.
