Christy Freeland, Chairman, Riverstone Residential Group, Retires After 34 Years Exceptional Service

June 22, 2010 - PRLog -- Dallas, TX (June 22, 2010) -- Riverstone Residential Group, one of the largest privately-owned, third-party multifamily property management companies in the United States, announces that Christy Freeland, Chairman, Riverstone Residential Group, will retire after 34 years of exceptional service. Highly-respected and touted throughout the property management industry, Freeland has been a driving force in establishing Riverstone’s premier position.

Freeland was one of the founders of Riverstone in 2006 along with current President, Terry Danner. Since that time, she helped to build a national company with a presence in over 30 states and 175,000 units. Freeland was instrumental in leading the company through the acquisition of five property management organizations.  She built a strong team of executives and worked tirelessly to help in the transition of people, systems and cultures.

“I love Riverstone and the property management business overall,” said Freeland. “We provide people with a place to call home, raise their families and create memories. Each day is different since we are involved in client relationships, business development, financial planning, and, of course, mentoring and working with associates to reach their full potential. I will miss the many people with whom I have worked closely over the years.”

“I am confident that I am leaving the company in very capable hands with Walt and Terry. I admire and respect both of these management professionals. They understand how to work well with properties, associates, and clients,” added Freeland. “I know that the company will continue to grow and prosper and I look forward to working on special projects fro the company through the end of the year.”

Both Danner and Chief Executive Officer, Walt Smith, tout Freeland’s numerous accomplishments and contributions during her stellar career with Riverstone.

She will be sorely missed, and we wish her great health and happiness in this next chapter of her life.”
