Follow on Google News | The Saucy Dipper Hosts Dip Recipe Festival for July 4thFood blogger hosts Dipstock, a virtual food festival featuring dips and sauces
By: Sara Lancaster “The idea is to create a community around food, in particular sauces and dips,” said Sara Lancaster, the Denver blogger at SaucyDipper.com and hostess of Dipstock. “Saucy Dipper keeps its focus on sauces and dips with an occasional look at bacon and complementary foods. Ideally, the conversation stays comical and no one bothers to take themselves too seriously.” There are no qualifications to participate in Dipstock. The only expectations are that the recipes be original and that the participant made the recipe during the week of Dipstock. Participants submit the photos and recipes either at http://www.SaucyDipper.com/ “It’s important the recipes be original or an adaptation of an existing dip recipe in order to create a unique Dipstock collection,” The site will host future dip and sauce recipe festivals, one of which is tentatively scheduled for the entire month of December. In addition to hosting virtual food festivals and creating cookbooks, Lancaster writes about sauce and dip recipes with a humorous twist. Lancaster writes about her dedication to learn how to make sauce as well. # # # Sara Lancaster started http://www.SaucyDipper.com in May 2010 to explore her interest in learning how to make sauce and to share her enjoyment of dips. Lancaster also runs No. 2 Pen, a Denver-based website content writing company that offers services to small businesses and entrepreneurs. End
