Hip Candy is a reflection of it's Editor and Publisher Chanel Ward. The site is fun, fashionable and opinionated. From style trends to celebrity happenings, to entertainment and current events, Hip Candy strives to keep its readers in the loop of what's happening right now through aggregating news and writing thoughtful and original editorial content. Hip Candy editor, Chanel Ward has a background in Fashion Design getting a degree from the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising in Los Angeles. Moving home to Louisiana shortly after graduation, there was no abundance of fashion industry jobs, but Chanel didn't let that deter her from turning her passion and creativity into a successful desktop publishing business. She launched Chanel Ward Design Desktop Publishing in the Fall of 2000. Six years later in June 2006, Hip Candy was born highlighting the latest in fashion, style and entertainment. Hip Candy's affiliated family of sites also include Cute Dresses (www.cutedresses.blogspot.com)
