Soccer is the world's most popular sport, and the World Cup, played every four years, is the game's most important event. FIFA, the World Cup organizer, has named the 2010 World Cup Ball Jabulani to celebrate the Happiness that soccer brings to people from around the globe.
Poor or rich, advanced or developing, at war or peace, soccer brings the world together every four years in the form of the World Cup - where all nations are equal. FIFA chose to name the ball Jabulani to celebrate South Africa, the host of this year's FIFA World Cup. Jabulani is a Zulu word, a language spoken by almost one quarter of the South African population.
The Jabulani official World Cup ball has 11 colors to honor each of South Africa’s eleven official languages, the eleven communities of South Africa, and the eleven players on each team.
The Chief Happiness Officer of ruHap, The Happiness Company, Gregory S. Barsh, Esq. frequently donates items to the people and communities he visits while traveling abroad. As an example, at the Ezulwini Primary School in Swaziland his family created a large library complete with teacher resources, books, and maps. This after a trip to the small African country known for it's poverty, AIDS epidemic - and incredibly Happy population. This humanitarian project was featured in the Philadelphia Inquirer, among other places.
Now, in support of the Jabulani movement and their wish to bring Happiness to everyone, ruHap, The Happiness Company will support people in developing countries by donating a minimum of one case of soccer balls per international trip, and more as donations permit. A wonderful example of the effect of this can be seen at http://www.youtube.com/
Support of this Jabulani effort can be made by individuals and corporations via ruHap, The Happiness Company. In this way, we can all help bring Happiness to everybody, one Jabulani soccer ball at a time.
