The Authority is asking the public to get involved in the preparation of a New Forest Biodiversity Action Plan (BAP) and a National Park Landscape Strategy.
Residents are invited to a roadshow on Thursday 1 July at Landford Village Hall, Lyndhurst Road, Landford, from 2pm – 8pm.
The draft information has been put together with other organisations including the Hampshire Wildlife Trust, Natural England, the National Trust and Hampshire County Council. The National Park is asking other groups to become involved too.
National Park Ecologist Ian Barker said: ‘This is the first step in asking people to get involved in shaping the future of how we care for our spectacular landscape and wildlife. We would like as many people as possible to come along and tell us what they really value about the New Forest and what our priorities should be in looking after it.
‘If you are not able to get to the roadshow, please complete our online questionnaire at www.newforestnpa.gov.uk and encourage your friends and neighbours to do so. There will also be more opportunities to get involved later in the year.’
